En la actualidad, Benidorm cuenta con 26 edificios que superan los 100 metros de altura, 65 edificios con más de 80 metros y más de 20 plantas, y 62 edificios con más de 25 plantas. ¡Una auténtica maravilla arquitectónica!
Además, Benidorm ocupa el tercer puesto en Europa en cuanto a concentración de rascacielos por metro cuadrado, solo por detrás de ciudades como Londres y Milán. Pero eso no es todo, somos la ciudad con más rascacielos por habitante del mundo!!!

Edificio Intempo
Comenzamos nuestra aventura ascendiendo a las alturas con el Edificio Intempo, el rascacielos más alto de Benidorm y uno de los más altos de Europa. Con sus 47 plantas y una altura de 206 metros, este imponente edificio se destaca en el skyline de la ciudad.
Gran Hotel Bali:
Con una altura de 186 metros y 52 plantas presume de seguir siendo el hotel más alto de Europa y todo un referente en el panorama arquitectónico de Benidorm. Su diseño único y su ubicación privilegiada frente al mar Mediterráneo hacen de este hotel un verdadero ícono de la ciudad. ¿Sabías que fue el escenario de la película de los “Huevos de Oro” de Bigas Luna donde actuaron Penélope Cruz y Javier Barden? Lo que está claro que fue el inicio de una gran amistad entre ambos
Torre Lugano:
Siguiendo nuestra ruta vertical, nos encontramos con la Torre Lugano. Con sus 158 metros de altura y 43 plantas, esta torre residencial no solo ofrece vistas panorámicas impresionantes, sino que también es reconocida por su diseño vanguardista haciendo que hacen de esta torre residencial un verdadero punto de referencia en el skyline de la ciudad.
Neguri Gane:
145 m 40 plantas. Su base es muy estrecha, sólo mide 27 x 22 metros. Es un gran ejemplo de arquitectura brutalista como el Hotel Bali… Y diréis… ¿qué es esto? Pues es un estilo arquitectónico que nace en los años 50 y se caracteriza por construcciones donde el material de construcción, en este caso el hormigón, se convierte en el principal elemento decorativo (sin pintar y con formas geométricas y paletas de colores monocromáticas). Curioso… ¿verdad? Otras curiosidades… Tiene una piscina en la planta 26 y se llama así por el barrio de Neguri del municipio vizcaíno de Getxo.
Edificio Kronos:
Nuestra lista de rascacielos impresionantes continúa con este edificio residencial, una estructura de 140 metros y 41 plantas. Destaca por su diseño moderno y su contribución a la arquitectura vanguardista de Benidorm.
Edificio Don Jorge:
Aunque no es muy espacioso, ocupa la posición entre los más altos con 124m 36 plantas. La cumbre de este edificio tiene forma de ola y es de material metálico agujereado.
Mirador del Mediterráneo:
Esta curiosa pareja de torres se conforman en una sola gracias a los pasadizos que la unen. Tiene 123m 35 plantas y conforme asciende va estrechándose hasta llegar a la cumbre por eso en los dos últimos pisos solo hay una vivienda en cada lado para los más privilegiados (emoticono).
Torre Levante:
Continuamos ascendiendo hacia la cima con la Torre Levante, una estructura de 120 metros de altura y 35 plantas. Este rascacielos se destaca por su elegancia arquitectónica y por ofrecer una de las mejores vistas de la playa de Levante. Fue el edificio más alto de Benidorm desde 1985 hasta 2002, cuando se construyó el Gran Hotel Bali de hecho, fue el primer edificio de Benidorm en superar las 30 plantas. Imaginaros la cara de los benidormenses cuando la inauguraron (emoticono). Hoy en día continúa siendo el único rascacielos de más de 100 metros que está en primera línea de playa de Levante.
Torre Costa Blanca:
Realmente son dos edificios residenciales, siendo la torre 2 la más alta con 116m 36 plantas.
Miragolf Playa 2:
Realmente es un conjunto residencial de tres edificios casi iguales, pero con diferente orientación. Las tres torres superan los 100 metros de altura y están muy cerca de la Playa de Poniente. La más alta tiene 115 metros de altura y 33 plantas. Aunque está en la décima posición, da igualmente vértigo!!!
Como curiosidad, saber que la altura de los edificios siempre ha estado vinculada a la superficie de la parcela, que debe ser superior a 3.500 metros cuadrados. Esta norma ha permitido dejar amplios espacios entre los edificios, creando un ambiente abierto y luminoso en la ciudad. Y convirtiendo este modelo urbanístico, que empezó ni más ni menos que en 1956, en un ejemplo de sostenibilidad urbana por su escaso consumo de territorio para así preservar su entorno natural.

Benidorm has no limits when it comes to height. In 1963, the height limit for building construction was removed, allowing a magnificent concentration of skyscrapers in the city. Benidorm currently has 26 buildings that exceed 100 meters in height, 65 with more than 80 meters and 20 floors, and 62 with more than 25 floors. A true architectural wonder!
Moreover, Benidorm ranks third in Europe in terms of concentration of skyscrapers per square meter, only behind cities like London or Milan. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg since we are the city with the most skyscrapers per inhabitant in the world!

The Intempo
Let’s start our adventure ascending to the heights of the Intempo, the highest skyscraper in Benidorm and one of the higher ones in Europe. With its 47 floors and 206 meters of height, this impressive building is highlighted in the city’s skyline.
Gran Hotel Bali
With a height of 186 meters and 52 floors, it is the highest hotel in Europe and a reference in Benidorm’s architectural scene. Neguri Gane

Brutalism is an architectural style born in the 50s, characterized by its construction material, concrete, which is its main decorative element (unpainted, with geometric form and monochromatic palettes). Isn’t it curious? Another curiosity about this building is that it has a pool on the 26th floor and its name comes from a neighborhood called Neguri in the city of Getxo, in the Basque Country.
Cronos Building
Our skyscrapers list just keeps growing with this residential building, a 140 meters structure with 41 floors. It stands out for its modern design and its contribution to Benidorm’s avant-garde architecture.
Don Jorge Building
Even though it is not too spacious, it has a position in our ranking, with 124 meters and 36 floors. The top of the building has the shape of a wave, and it is made of a metallic material full of holes.
The Mediterranean Viewpoint
These curious couple of towers are made as one thanks to the passageways that unite both. While ascending its 123 meters and 35 floors, we can see how it becomes narrower, that is why in the last floor there are only two apartments for the most privileged ones.
Levante Tower
A 120 meters structure with 35 floors. This skyscraper stands out for its architectural elegance and for offering the best views of Levante beach. From 1985 until 2002, it was the highest building in Benidorm, until the Bali Hotel was made. It also was the first building in the city that surpassed 30 floors. Just try to imagine the faces of the people living in the city when they made it. Nowadays, it continues to be the only 100 meters skyscraper that is on Levante’s beachfront.
Costa Blanca Tower
The truth is that they are really two residential buildings, being the 2nd tower, the highest one with 116 meters and 36 floors.
Miragolf Beach 2
It really is a residential complex of three buildings with different orientations each one. All three of them are over 100 meters high and are very close to Poniente beach. The highest of them is 115 meters high and has 33 floors. Although it is in the 10th position of our ranking, it is equally dizzying!
As a curiosity, you should know that the building height has always been linked to the surface of the plot, which must be over 3,500 square meters. This law has allowed for wide spaces to be left between buildings, creating an open and bright environment in the city. And turning this urban model, which began no more no less than in 1956, into an example of urban sustainability due to its low consumption of land to preserve its natural environment.
