Hay un momento mágico cuando un niño descubre una huella en la tierra, señala una ardilla entre los pinos o llega por sí mismo a la cima de una colina. Ese momento vale más que mil likes. Y lo mejor es que no hace falta irse muy lejos para vivirlo: Benidorm esconde rutas de senderismo pensadas para pequeñas piernas y grandes descubrimientos.
Prepára el petate: hemos seleccionado 3 rutas suaves, seguras y llenas de encanto que transforman una mañana cualquiera en una expedición memorable. Con vistas al mar, sombra de pinos y hasta leyendas escondidas en cada curva del camino. Ponte las zapatillas, mete algo de fruta en la mochila, y deja que el GPS descanse: hoy manda la imaginación.
🌿 1. “El tesoro del Tossal de la Cala”
Dicen que, hace siglos, los soldados romanos vigilaban desde aquí el mar, esperando barcos misteriosos que venían de tierras lejanas… Hoy, en lugar de espadas, llevamos agua y bocatas, y cambiamos las órdenes por risas. ¡Pero la sensación de aventura sigue siendo la misma!
Esta ruta empieza casi a pie de playa y sube poco a poco entre pinos y rocas hasta llegar al castellum romano del Tossal de la Cala, uno de los secretos mejor guardados de Benidorm. Desde lo alto, las vistas son simplemente mágicas: la bahía de Poniente, la isla de Benidorm, y si hace buen día… ¡hasta el Puig Campana!
Durante el camino, podréis imaginar cómo era la vida de los soldados hace más de 2.000 años. ¿Dormían aquí? ¿Hacían guardia de noche? ¿Tenían un jefe romano con capa roja? 😄 Hay paneles informativos que cuentan la historia, pero lo mejor es dejar volar la imaginación.

“Si encontráis una piedra con marcas extrañas… puede que sea parte de una muralla milenaria. ¡Investigad con cuidado y contadnos qué habéis visto!”
- Bajamos hacia el paseo marítimo de Levante y nos desviamos por la Avenida Martínez Alejos hasta el Paseo de la Carretera, que nos lleva directo al 🌴 Parque de Elche, con sus icónicas palmeras y palomas.
- Desde ahí, caminamos todo el paseo de Poniente 🚶♂️🌊, disfrutando de las vistas y el sonido del mar, hasta llegar al final de la playa.
- Tomamos la Calle de la Cala y subimos unas escaleras que nos conducen al Carrer de la Ermita. Este tramo serpenteante entre urbanizaciones nos acerca poco a poco a un rincón lleno de historia…
- Llegamos a la coqueta Ermita de la Virgen del Mar, un lugar tranquilo y con sombra para hacer una pequeña pausa 🙏🌳.
- Seguimos el camino cuesta arriba y, tras unas curvas, aparecen los restos arqueológicos del Tossal de la Cala: vestigios del periodo ibérico y romano que aún sobreviven entre el paisaje urbano.
- A pocos metros nos espera el gran premio: el mirador del Tossal, con vistas de 360º sobre Benidorm, el mar y las montañas. Un lugar para respirar hondo y hacer una buena foto de grupo 📸🌄.

2. 🌲 La ruta del bosque encantado de la Serra Gelada
Benidorm también tiene un lado salvaje y misterioso… Y se llama Serra Gelada. Esta ruta, que parece sacada de un cuento de aventuras, recorre la parte más verde del parque natural, con senderos anchos, sombra de pinos y vistas de infarto. ¿El destino final? Una torre vigía solitaria que mira al horizonte: la Torre de les Caletes, construida para vigilar a los piratas berberiscos hace siglos. 🏴☠️
Ideal para familias que quieren salir de la ciudad sin alejarse demasiado, esta caminata esconde mil detalles que encantan a los peques: escarabajos brillantes, mariposas, el zumbido del viento entre los pinos y… ¿quién sabe? Tal vez una cueva secreta o un árbol con forma de dragón.

🗺️ Itinerario mágico hasta la Torre de les Caletes
📍 Inicio: Calle Sierra Dorada, justo al final, donde hay una pequeña explanada sin salida (zona Rincón de Loix).
💡 Consejo: madrugar si vais en verano, no hay muchas zonas de sombra.
- Empieza el sendero ancho entre urbanizaciones. Tras un breve tramo de hormigón, el camino se adentra en la pineda de Serra Gelada. Aquí empieza la magia…
- El sendero sigue por la cresta del acantilado, con el mar Mediterráneo a vuestra izquierda 🌊 y la vegetación mediterránea a ambos lados.
🎒 Parada recomendada: un pequeño claro con vistas a los rascacielos de Benidorm y a la isla al fondo. - El camino avanza entre subidas y bajadas suaves (¡sin riesgo!) hasta llegar a la Torre de les Caletes, una construcción circular que fue torre de defensa del siglo XVII.
📸 Momento foto: ¡no olvidéis inmortalizar las vistas desde aquí! Se ve toda la bahía del Albir, Altea y el Peñón de Ifach si el día está claro.

3. 🌳 La ruta del bosque secreto de El Moralet
A tan solo unos minutos del bullicio de Benidorm, se esconde un auténtico paraíso verde donde los niños pueden correr, explorar y trepar a sus anchas. Bienvenidos a El Moralet, el bosque urbano más divertido de la ciudad, con más de un millón de metros cuadrados de caminos, pinares, columpios… ¡y hasta tirolinas!
Esta ruta es un paseo por la parte más tranquila y mágica de Benidorm. Ideal para familias que buscan pasar unas horas al aire libre, con sombra, espacio, naturaleza y muchas opciones para el juego libre. Puedes recorrerla caminando, en bici o incluso haciendo mini trail, y descubrirás que cada entrada al parque esconde algo distinto: zonas recreativas y parque infantil con mesas de picnic, áreas para calistenia, refugios de aves, e incluso una caseta de interpretación donde los más curiosos pueden aprender sobre el entorno.

🚩 Inicio en el Estadio Guillermo Amor (Sports Forum Benidorm)
Accedemos al parque por la entrada principal frente al campo de fútbol. Desde aquí comienza un sendero ancho entre pinos.
🌲 Tramo sur – Camino entre pinares y zona tranquila
Tomamos el desvío a la izquierda hacia el suroeste, bordeando el campo de golf. Es una zona fresca y con sombra parcial, ideal para caminar o ir en bici.
💧 Tramo norte – Subida suave hasta el Manantial Xirles
El sendero asciende ligeramente entre vegetación mediterránea hasta llegar a un punto alto con vistas parciales al skyline de Benidorm.
🦜 Tramo este – Regreso por la parte alta del parque
Bajamos en dirección al Sports Forum siguiendo el camino circular. Tramo abierto, perfecto para parar, observar aves o merendar bajo los árboles.

🌿 1. “The Treasure of Tossal de la Cala”
They say that, centuries ago, Roman soldiers used to guard the sea from this very spot, watching for mysterious ships coming from distant lands… ⚔️⛵
Today, instead of swords, we bring water bottles and sandwiches, and trade orders for laughter. But the feeling of adventure is still the same!
This trail starts almost at sea level and gently climbs between pines and rocks until it reaches the Roman castellum of Tossal de la Cala, one of Benidorm’s best-kept secrets. 🏛️🌲
From the top, the views are simply magical: Poniente Bay, Benidorm Island, and on a clear day… even Puig Campana in the distance! 🌊⛰️
Along the way, little ones can imagine what life was like for soldiers over 2,000 years ago. Did they sleep here? Stand guard at night? Was there a Roman general with a red cape? 😄
There are information panels along the path, but the real fun is letting imagination run wild.

- We head down to the Levante seafront promenade and turn onto Avenida Martínez Alejos until we reach the Paseo de la Carretera, which leads us straight to the 🌴 Parque de Elche, with its iconic palm trees and pigeons.
- From there, we walk along the entire Poniente promenade 🚶♂️🌊, enjoying the views and the sound of the sea, all the way to the end of the beach.
- We take Calle de la Cala and climb some steps that lead us to Carrer de la Ermita. This winding stretch between residential areas gradually brings us to a spot full of history…
- We arrive at the charming Ermita de la Virgen del Mar, a peaceful place with shade — perfect for a little break 🙏🌳.
- We continue uphill and, after a few turns, we reach the archaeological remains of the Tossal de la Cala: Iberian and Roman vestiges that still survive in the urban landscape.
- Just a few metres ahead awaits the big reward: the Tossal viewpoint, offering 360º views over Benidorm, the sea and the mountains. A perfect place to take a deep breath — and a great group photo 📸⛰️.

2. 🌲 The Enchanted Forest Trail of Serra Gelada
Benidorm also has a wild and mysterious side… and it’s called Serra Gelada. This trail, which feels straight out of a storybook, takes you through the greenest part of the natural park — with wide paths, shady pine trees and breathtaking views. And the final destination? A lonely watchtower gazing out to the horizon: the Torre de les Caletes, built centuries ago to spot Barbary pirate ships. 🏴☠️
Perfect for families wanting to escape the city without going too far, this walk hides a thousand little details that kids will love: shiny beetles, butterflies, the hum of the wind through the pines and… who knows? Maybe a secret cave or a tree shaped like a dragon.

This trail takes you through the calmest and most magical side of Benidorm. Perfect for families looking to spend a few hours in the open air, with shade, space, nature, and plenty of opportunities for free play. You can walk it, cycle it, or even try some light trail running — and at each entrance, you’ll find something different: picnic areas, playgrounds, calisthenics zones, bird shelters, and even an interpretation cabin where curious kids can learn about the natural surroundings.

📍 Start point: Guillermo Amor Stadium (Sports Forum Benidorm)
Enter the park through the main entrance opposite the football stadium. From here, a wide path begins through the pine trees.
🌲 South section – Trail through pine groves and peaceful area
Take the left turn heading southwest, skirting the golf course. This is a cool, partially shaded zone, ideal for walking or cycling.
💧 North section – Gentle climb to the Xirles Spring
The path climbs gently through Mediterranean vegetation until it reaches a higher point with partial views of Benidorm’s skyline.
🌸 East section – Return along the upper part of the park
We descend towards the Sports Forum following the circular path. This open section is perfect for stopping, birdwatching or enjoying a snack under the trees.
