Estiu al museu
Este viernes 18 de agosto, tendrá lugar el tercer taller creativo en el museo Boca del Calvari dentro de la propuesta “Estiu al museu”. Esta semana Carlos Llorens estará al frente del taller de iniciación al collage.
Se llevará a cabo, como cada viernes, en la 2ª planta del museo de 19:00 a 21:00.Para participar en los talleres, dirigidos a mayores de 12 años, únicamente hay que inscribirse a través del correo electrónico biblioteca@benidorm.org.
Exhibiciones permanentes
Si lo que prefieres es ver una exhibición en el museo, aquí te ofrecemos dos opciones.
Te invitamos a disfrutar de la exposición ‘Guardianes del mar. La Torre de les Caletes’ en el Museo Boca del Calvari al que puedes ir cualquier día de la semana de 15:00 a 20:00 (horario de verano).
La exposición, proveniente de la Diputación Provincial de Alicante y el Museo Arqueológico de Alicante, se enfoca en la torre vigía del siglo XVI situada en la Punta del Cavall, reconocida como Bien de Interés Cultural. Además de entender su contexto histórico y el rol que desempeñó a través de los años, lo más destacado de la exhibición es la presentación de objetos y materiales descubiertos en 2017 y 2018.
Nuevas exhibiciones al carrer (en la calle)
El Ayuntamiento de Benidorm exhibirá de manera temporal, durante varias semanas, el mural de Gastón Castelló, recientemente restaurado, en el museo Boca del Calvari antes de instalarlo en su ubicación definitiva. Este mural de temática marinera plasma el pasado y la vinculación de Benidorm con el mar y sus artes.
Exposición de fotografías: ‘Mosuo. Un viaje a la tierra de las mujeres’
El Espacio de Arte Urbano al aire libre Carrasco acoge hasta el próximo 30 de septiembre una exposición de once fotografías con textos explicativos que forman parte de un proyecto de Nuria Crivillés Tortosa y el fotógrafo Vicente Miña Benito que bajo el título ‘Mosuo.
Un viaje a la tierra de las mujeres’ expone escenas de la vida cotidiana y costumbres de esta etnia china localizada en el sudeste del país, en el Himalaya, concretamente en el entorno de lago Lugu en un altiplano a 2.700 metros de altitud.
Un verano de consolas
Este fin de semana tendrá lugar la segunda parte del evento de videoconsolas ‘Gaming Benidorm Fest’, organizado por la Concejalía de Juventud del Ayuntamiento. Los días 19 y 20 de agosto se volverán a instalar las videoconsolas de manera gratuita para su uso y disfrute en el Centro de Información Juvenil en la Plaza SS Reyes de España, de 19:30 a 01:00.
Obra de teatro
El 18 de agosto a las 21h, la compañía Pàmpol Teatre traerá al Parque de Foietes la obra “Ferdinando, el toro” enmarcada en la campaña de difusión de la música y el teatro 2023 de la Diputación de Alicante, y marcará el fin de los espectáculos planteados por la Concejalía de Juventud del Ayuntamiento para el mes de agosto. Con un todo de dimensiones reales, marionetas de tamaño persona, una cabra y mucha música, juerga, diversión y malos entendidos, esta obra de teatro tiene el único objetivo de que el público se tronche de risa.
Hotel Voramar Silent Party
Este fin de semana, vuelve la Silent Party a Voramar Roof Terrace, la música de moda que no hace ruido.
Desde el rooftop del Hotel Voramar, disfrutaremos del silencio como fiesta única, especial y auténtica Voramar. Ven a nuestra fantástica terraza, Voramar Roof Terrace, ubicada en la 6a planta del hotel y elige si prefieres la música ambiental disfrutando de las conversaciones de tus amigos … o entras en la “batalla” musical que van a protagonizar durante todo el fin de semana nuestros dj’s invitados: Dj Covita Pemán vs. Dj. Akarash.
Cada noche podrás optar entre dos estilos musicales, 6 en total:
- Viernes 18: Música COMERCIAL vs. INDIE.
- Sábado 19: Música 80’s vs. 90’s.
- Domingo 20: Música DISCO vs. FUNK.
Si nunca has estado ¡te sorprenderás! Cuando llegues te harán entrega de unos auriculares especiales (dejando en depósito tu dni), con los que podrás seleccionar a que DJ seguir. A partir de ahí canta, baila, …, es una experiencia muy íntima. Tú disfrutarás, y los que estén a tu alrededor posiblemente más, pues es curioso vivirlo desde fuera, sin escuchar la música.
Esta fiesta tiene otra ventaja: Pon el sonido a todo volumen, ¡no vas a molestar a nadie!

Final mundial femenino de fútbol
Esta semana tenemos una cita muy especial junto a las chicas de la Selección Español Femenina de Fútbol, y es que nuestras jugadoras juegan la final contra la Selección de Inglaterra este domingo 20/08 a las 12:00.
Anímate a acudir a cualquiera de los pubs o bares de Benidorm, y compartir con otros aficionados la experiencia de ver la final del mundial femenino de la FIFA en unas de las muchas pantallas gigantes con las que cuentan estos locales. Aire acondicionado, o incluso en una piscina, con una cervecita y combate el calor, disfruta de esta final desde Benidorm.

Plans for the weekend from 18/08 until 20/08
If you are looking for unique and different plans to make the most of your time in Benidorm, these are some you could do during the weekend. Are you up for it?

“Estiu al museu” (Summer at the museum)
This Friday, August 18th, at the Boca del Calvari museum will take place the third workshop of the activities program “Estiu al museu”. This week’s class will be conducted by Carlos Llorens and will be about the initiation to collage.
It will take place on the 2nd floor of the museum from 7:00 pm. to 9 pm. To participate you must be over 12 years old. You just need to book your spot via email at biblioteca@benidorm.org
If you prefer to visit an exhibition at the museum, here you have two options.
Permanent exhibitions
We invite you to enjoy the display “Guardianes del mar. La Torre de les Caletes” at the museum Boca del Calvari, and you can visit it any day of the week from 3 pm to 8 pm.
.The exhibition, from the Provincial Council of Alicante and the Archeological Museum of Alicante, centers on the 16th century watchtower located at Punta del Cavall, recognised as a Cultural Heritage Site. In addition to understanding its historical context and the role it played over the years, the highlight of the exhibition is the presentation of objects and materials discovered in 2017 and 2018.
New exhibition
Benidorm’s Town Council will display temporarily ,during a few weeks, Gastón’s Castelló mural, recently restored, at the museum Boca del Calvari before installing it on its final location.
This marine-themed mural reflects the past and the link between Benidorm and the sea and its arts.
A gaming summer
This weekend is the second one we will be able to enjoy the gaming event “Gaming Benidorm Fest”, organized by the Culture Council from the Town Hall. The 19th and 20th of August the game consoles will be installed again for free, so anyone can use them.
The event will take place in the Youth Information Center in the SS Reyes de España Square, from 7:30 pm. to 01:00 am.
Theater Play
The 18th of August at 9:00 pm., the Pàmpol Theater Company will perform the play titled “Ferdinando, el toro” in Foietes Park. This activity is part of the Alicante Provincial Council’s 2023 music and theater dissemination campaign, and will also mark the end of the shows proposed by the Youth Council of the city for the month of August.
With everything made to scale, human-sized puppets, a goat and lots of music, revelry, fun and misunderstandings, this play has the sale objective of making the audience laugh.
Photography Exhibition: ‘Mosuo. A Journey to the Land of Women’
The open-air Urban Art Space Carrasco hosts an exhibition of eleven photographs with explanatory texts as part of a project by Nuria Crivillés Tortosa and photographer Vicente Miña Benito titled ‘Mosuo’.
“A Journey to the Land of Women” showcases scenes from the daily life and customs of this Chinese ethnic group located in the southeast of the country, in the Himalayas, specifically in the vicinity of Lake Lugu at an altitude of 2,700 meters.
Voramar Hotel Silent Party
This weekend, the Silent Party returns to Voramar Roof Terrace, trendy music that doesn’t make noise.
From the rooftop of the Hotel Voramar, we will enjoy the silence as a unique, special and authentic Voramar party.

You’ll enjoy it and those around you more, since it’s a curious experience if you’re looking from the outside, without listening to the music.This party has another advantage: put your headphones at full volume, you won’t be bothering anyone!

Final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup
This week we have a very special date with the girls of the Spain’s and England’s Soccer Team. They’ll play against each other to be the champions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Final, this sunday at 12:00 pm.
So, get to one of the many pubs and bars in Benidorm that will offer a giant screening of the match and enjoy with other fans this World Cup Final.
Air conditioning, or even inside of a pool, with a beer to beat the heat, come to Benidorm and make it even easier to enjoy the final.
