Espectáculo Teatral: «La Dieta»
«La Dieta» una producción de Teatro de la Sombra interpretada por Rafael Calvo y escrita por Javier García Mauriño llega a Benidorm este sábado 19 de octubre a las 19:00h.
Forma parte del ciclo de la tercera edición de Microteatro que ha tenido lugar estos dos últimos meses en L’Hort de Colón.
Las entradas se pueden adquirir online o en taquilla y tienen un precio de 5€.
Benidorm Games Event
El ‘Benidorm Games Event’, tendrá lugar en el carrer de pilota del Palau d’Esports L’Illa de Benidorm, del 18 al 20 de octubre.
Horarios:
- Viernes 18 – de 17:00 a 00:00.
- Sábado 19 – de 12:00 a 00:00.
- Domingo 20 – de 12:00 a 00:00.
En la Zona Libre se instalarán puestos de XBOX, Serie X, periféricos de conducción y realidad virtual de forma que los participantes puedan disfrutar de los videojuegos más novedosos. Igualmente se habilitará una ‘zona móbil’ y puntos wifi para los dispositivos móviles y tablets.
También habrá una Zona Lan con 50 puestos preparados para los usuarios que acudan al evento con sus periféricos y se han organizado varias conferencias como ‘El entretenimiento electrónico como bien cultural y social’, ‘Videojuegos y e-Sports; prejuicios y realidades’ o ‘Cómo se forma a un jugador profesional de e-Sports’.
Habrá una Zona de acampada que se habilitará en una zona contigua al edificio para quienes quieran montar su tienda de campaña para pernoctar o como lugar de descanso.
La inscripción es gratuita y no es necesaria para la utilización libre de videojuegos. No obstante, si se desea participar en algún torneo habrá que indicarlo, así como si se va a utilizar PC o videoconsola propia o utilizar la zona de acampada. Para ello, los participantes habrán de facilitar su nombre completo, teléfono y DNI.
Para los que quieran utilizar su equipo propio, deberán traer su ordenador completo o videoconsola con todo lo necesario y se les facilitarán todas las conexiones eléctricas y de banda ancha a internet.

«Distinguidos de Benidorm» en Espai d’Art La Casilla
El Espai d’Art La Casilla presenta una muestra retrospectiva que reúne a los galardonados con la Distinción Cultural de Benidorm desde 2006, celebrando sus contribuciones en diversos campos artísticos y sociales.
Ubicada en la histórica casilla de peones camineros en la vía de Emilio Ortuño, la exposición invita a los visitantes a explorar la diversidad de talentos que han contribuido a enriquecer la identidad cultural de Benidorm.
La exposición podrá visitarse de jueves a domingo, de 16:00 a 20:00 hasta el próximo 29 de diciembre.
El Prado en las Calles
La muestras se podrá visitar del 27 de septiembre al 27 de octubre en la Av. Del Mediterráneo de manera gratuita. Esta exposición al aire libre está pensada para recrear la experiencia de visitar el museo, pudiendo contemplar las pinturas a escala real. Está compuesta por 50 reproducciones fotográficas, con catelería explicativa, código QR y paneles informativos. Contará con reproducciones de las obras de grandes maestros de la pintura como Goya, Velázquez, Rubens, Durero, Rembrandt, El Bosco, Tiziano o Caravaggio, entres otros. Además cuentan con representaciones teatrales todos los fines de semanas de octubre.
Homenaje a María Callas
Este viernes en el Salón de Actos del Ayuntamiento la soprano Marlene Aquino, acompañada al piano por Pamela Pérez, rendirá su particular ‘Homenaje a María Callas’, una de las más grandes figuras de la ópera del siglo XX.
El concierto, comenzará a las 20:00, y promete ser una velada inolvidable para los amantes de la música clásica y la ópera.
Aquino interpretará algunas de las arias más emblemáticas que inmortalizaron a la diva griega, ofreciendo al público una oportunidad única de revivir la magia y el legado de Callas.
Exposición «Amando: Toda una vida»
El próximo 18 de octubre, a las 18:30 horas, el Espai d’Art Ajuntament de Benidorm se inaugura la exposición de pintura y arte digital ‘Amando: Toda una Vida’, una muestra que rinde homenaje a la trayectoria de Amando, destacada figura local.
La exhibición promete un recorrido por la vida y obra de Amando, resaltando momentos clave y aportaciones significativas a lo largo de su carrera.
Estará disponible para el público desde el este viernes hasta el 6 de noviembre.
Poppy Appeal 2024
El sábado 19 de octubre, Benidorm será el escenario del lanzamiento de la Poppy Appeal 2024, organizado por la Royal British Legion.
El evento contará con representantes del ámbito militar y diplomático como Anny Reid OBE, Capitán Stephen McGlory (Defence Attaché de la Embajada Británica en Madrid), y Robert Millar (Representante de la TRBL Membership Council), además del presidente del distrito, Paul Kane.
El acto comenzará con un desfile de estandartes, liderado por The Torrevieja Pipes & Drums, que partirá a las 15:45 horas desde la Calle Castellón y continuará por el Paseo de Levante hasta llegar al Rincón de Loix, donde se llevará a cabo una breve ceremonia conmemorativa.
La Royal British Legion invita a todos a unirse a este emotivo evento.

Halloween en Mundomar y Terra Mítica
Este fin de semana Mundomar y Terra Mítica dan el pistoletazo de salida a la época más terrorífica del año, comienza el mes de octubre y con ello Halloween.
Ambos parques estarán tematizados desde este sábado 5 de octubre hasta el domingo 3 de noviembre.
En Mundomar podremos disfrutar como cada año de globoflexia, pintacaras, animación en todo el parque y antes de las demostraciones el famoso pasaje familiar «El Castillo Encantado». Como incorporación, veremos espectáculo de Halloween «La Sonrisa Sin Miedo».

Plans for the weekend from 11th until 13th of October
If you’re thinking of coming to Benidorm to spend the weekend and enjoy the good weather the city has to offer, but you’re not sure what plans you can make, we suggest a series of various activities so you won’t miss out on anything and make the most of every last minute.
(Keep in mind that some of these activities will be carried in Spanish)
Poppy Appeal 2024
On Saturday 19th October, Benidorm will host the launch of the Poppy Appeal 2024, organised by the Royal British Legion.
The event will be attended by representatives from the military and diplomatic spheres including Anny Reid OBE, Captain Stephen McGlory (Defence Attaché at the British Embassy in Madrid), and Robert Millar (TRBL Membership Council Representative), as well as the District Chairman, Paul Kane.
The event will begin with a parade of banners, led by The Torrevieja Pipes & Drums, which will start at 15:45 hours from Calle Castellón and continue along the Paseo de Levante until it reaches the Rincón de Loix, where a short commemorative ceremony will take place.
The Royal British Legion invites everyone to join in this moving event.

Prado in the Streets
The exhibition will be open from 27 September to 27 October in Av. Del Mediterráneo free of charge. This open-air exhibition has been designed to recreate the experience of visiting the museum, allowing visitors to see the paintings in their original size. It consists of 50 photographic reproductions, with explanatory panels, a QR code and information panels. It features reproductions of works by great masters of painting such as Goya, Velázquez, Rubens, Dürer, Rembrandt, Bosch, Titian and Caravaggio, among others. They also feature theatrical performances every weekend in October.
Benidorm Games Event
The ‘Benidorm Games Event’ will take place in the ‘carrer de pilota’ of the Palau d’Esports L’Illa de Benidorm, from the 18th to the 20th of October.
Timetable:
- Friday 18th – from 17:00 to 00:00.
- Saturday 19th – from 12:00 to 00:00.
- Sunday 20th – from 12:00 to 00:00.
In the Free Zone, XBOX, X Series, driving peripherals and virtual reality stands will be set up so that participants can enjoy the latest video games. There will also be a ‘mobile zone’ and wifi points for mobile devices and tablets.
There will also be a Lan Zone with 50 stands set up for users who come to the event with their peripherals and several conferences have been organised, such as ‘Electronic entertainment as a cultural and social asset’, ‘Video games and e-Sports; prejudices and realities’ and ‘How to train a professional e-Sports player’.
There will be a camping area that will be set up in an area next to the building for those who want to set up their tent to spend the night or as a place to rest.
Registration is free of charge and is not required for the free use of video games. However, if you wish to take part in a tournament, you will have to indicate it, as well as if you are going to use your own PC or video game console or use the camping area. To do so, participants must provide their full name, telephone number and ID number.
For those who want to use their own equipment, they should bring their own computer or video console with all the necessary equipment and all electrical and broadband internet connections will be provided.

Tribute to Maria Callas
This Friday in the Salón de Actos of the Town Hall the soprano Marlene Aquino, accompanied on the piano by Pamela Pérez, will pay her particular ‘Tribute to María Callas’, one of the greatest opera figures of the 20th century.
The concert, which will begin at 20:00, promises to be an unforgettable evening for lovers of classical music and opera.
Aquino will perform some of the most emblematic arias that immortalised the Greek diva, offering the audience a unique opportunity to relive the magic and legacy of Callas.
Theatrical Show: ‘La Dieta’
‘La Dieta’ a production of Teatro de la Sombra performed by Rafael Calvo and written by Javier García Mauriño comes to Benidorm this Saturday 19th October at 19:00h.
It is part of the cycle of the third edition of Microteatro that has taken place these last two months in L’Hort de Colón.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office and are priced at €5.
Exhibition «Amando: Toda un vida» (Amando: A Lifetime)
On the 18th October, at 18:30 hours, the Espai d’Art Ajuntament de Benidorm will open the exhibition of painting and digital art ‘Amando: A Lifetime’, an exhibition which pays tribute to the career of Amando, a prominent local figure.
The exhibition promises a journey through Amando’s life and work, highlighting key moments and significant contributions throughout his career.
It will be available to the public from this Friday until 6 November.
«Distinguidos de Benidorm» at Espai d’Art La Casilla(Distinguished from Benidorm)
The Espai d’Art La Casilla presents a retrospective exhibition bringing together the recipients of the Benidorm Cultural Distinction since 2006, celebrating their contributions in various artistic and social fields.
Housed in the historic road workers’ shed on Emilio Ortuño Road, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the diversity of talents that have contributed to enriching Benidorm’s cultural identity.
The exhibition can be visited from Thursday to Sunday from 16:00 to 20:00 until the 29th December.
Halloween at Mundomar and Terra Mítica
This weekend, Mundomar and Terra Mítica kick off the most terrifying time of the year as October begins, bringing with it Halloween.
Both parks will be fully themed from this Saturday, 5th October, until Sunday, 3rd November.
At Mundomar, visitors can enjoy, as every year, balloon twisting, face painting, entertainment throughout the park, and before the shows, the famous family-friendly «The Enchanted Castle» attraction. New this year is the Halloween show «The Fearless Smile».

Terra Mítica brings back Halloween, its most anticipated event, transforming the leisure complex into a «frighteningly» fun environment with new shows such as The Conquest of Cronos, Spartacus and the Queen of the Dead, and The Nightmares of Egypt.
