Este proyecto lo realiza Benidorm Expone y las diferentes colaboraciones que han conseguido hacerlo realidad. Desde hace dos años se estaba incentivando el arte en las calles de Benidorm con las exposiciones de fotografías al aire libre. Esta vez, ha ido más allá, y se ha apostado por la pintura urbana.

Seis artistas invitados, Sabek, Misterpiro, Silvia Viana, Hunter87, Mireia Castillo y Kaufman, han utilizado espacios en desuso de Benidorm para exponer sus piezas y este ha sido el resultado…

SABEK

Es un artista que comienza su trayectoria profesional en las calles y en lugares abandonados alrededor de la capital española, Madrid, donde desarrolla su estilo.

Su estilo inconfundible se reconoce por la representación de formas y colores de origen natural, inspiradas en vegetales y formas redondeadas de tipo orgánico. Esta representación inspirada en la naturaleza, se entrelaza con líneas curvas para crear un equilibrio perfecto muy similar al que sucede en la naturaleza.

Su obra plantea una reflexión entorno al ser humano y su relación con la naturaleza. Produce un sentimiento de respeto hacia el mundo animal y el vegetal. Su trabajo se puede ver en paredes internacionales como en Estados Unidos o Nueva Zelanda.

MISTERPIRO

Este artista urbano de Plasencia comenzó allí su carrera, en el lugar que le vió nacer.  Actualmente reside en Madrid pero, su trabajo a menudo lo lleva fuera de la ciudad y de España. La revista Forbes España lo incluyó en 2017 en su lista de los 30 jóvenes españoles menores de 30 años con mayor influencia en diversas actividades.

Ha realizado diversas exposiciones tanto individuales como colectivas y sus trabajos de calle se pueden encontrar en paredes de diversas ciudades de España, así como en Lisboa, Roma, Londres, Nueva York, Nueva Delhi o Seúl. También ha participado en campañas de Nordic Mist, Doctor Martens, El País S Moda y Converse, entre otras.

Misterpiro ha logrado unir dos técnicas al agua en principio no compatibles, la acuarela y el acrílico, en un estilo único, lleno de vida y color. Ha construido así una identidad artística inconfundible.

SILVIA VIANA

Sus obras tienen un estilo de pintura conceptual. Ha llevado a cabo un mural que quedase integrada con el entorno, embelleciendolo a la vez. Con un objetivo único, que cuando pasen los habitantes y turistas por el mismo interrumpan su paseo y logren disfrutar con un pequeño encuentro con la pintura.

Este es el tema central de su pintura, el tiempo consciente fuera de las prisas cotidianas. Esto lo ha reflejado a través de la infancia, la tranquilidad de la lectura y las amapolas una bella flor silvestre. Culmina con la afirmación de que la pintura está basada en transformaciones, y lo que realmente le da sentido son las interpretaciones. Con este concepto, la artista termina argumentando que «la pintura urbana es un arte hecho para el pueblo y construido o interpretado por el pueblo».

HUNTER87

Es un artista urbano de la provincia, cuyas obras son reconocidas por su pintura pictórica más tradicional. Esta obra forma parte de un trabajo que se llama La Mar. Es un trabajo de recuperación de la memoria. Ha entrevistado a diversos pescadores de su localidad, Villajoyosa, y ha hecho una recuperación de la memoria de los pescadores a través de imágenes y de historias.

La obra está realizada a partir de fotografías reales de los pescadores actualizados con los tatuajes que se pueden observar en el mural. Estos hacen referencia a la antigua tradición de los pescadores o marineros a hacerse tatuajes de acontecimientos de sus vidas. Y Hunter87, a raíz de la información que ha obtenido de las entrevistas ha dibujado tatuajes según todos los acontecimientos que les han ocurrido a los protagonistas de esta obra.

MIREIA CASTILLO

Es otra de las artistas cuyo estilo es más tradicional. Sus obras están marcadas por la representación del universo ‘pin-up’, y el empoderamiento de la mujer a través de su sensualidad y de su feminidad.

La obra que ha realizado en la ciudad es una mezcla de su estilo con la ubicación en la que estaba pintando. Está en frente del mercado Abril y por eso le ha dado sentido con la combinación de las naranjas y la cesta de la compra. Dándole color y vida a la calle.

KAUFMAN

James Aka, Kaufman artísticamente, es un artista benidormense. Sus obras se reconocen por su estilo geométrico, suele pintar figuras abstractas pero predominan las geométricas. Su figura predilecta es el triángulo, el que podemos observar en la gran mayoría de sus obras.

Este mural en concreto forma parte de una serie que se llama Laberinto, se llama así porque crea figuras basadas en conceptos matemáticos. Este mural está ejecutado a partir de una cuadrícula que está dividida en diagonales tanto hacia la derecha como a la izquierda, y de una forma binaria y aleatoria se van combinando las figuras. Y así es el resultado.

ARTE EN EL HOTEL CLIMIA BENIDORM PLAZA

En el Hotel Climia Benidorm Plaza, el arte cobra vida con una impresionante colección de murales que adornan tanto su interior como su exterior. Estos vibrantes murales, visibles desde varios puntos del hotel, capturan la esencia de Benidorm a través de diversos estilos y temáticas. Desde figuras femeninas sumergidas en aguas oníricas, hasta composiciones abstractas y geométricas, pasando por escenas culinarias festivas y aventuras submarinas infantiles, cada obra ofrece una experiencia visual única que celebra la creatividad y la diversidad artística.

JOSE GALLEGO

En nuestra pintura mural nos encontramos dos personajes femeninos
sumergidos en el mar en posición de reposo y a la vez poderosas, rodeadas de
peces en total armonía.
Juntas las mujeres arropan y casi veneran a un sol recién amanecido, creando
un ambiente místico.
Representamos el tan preciado sol y playa, y al mismo tiempo el descanso y la
desconexión, lo que tantas personas buscan cuando vuelen a Benidorm y
nuestro hotel en particular.
Hemos utilizado colores frescos, vivos y mediterráneos que destacan y a la vez
convivan con el espacio que ocupan, el hall del hotel.

MARINA PUCHE

Este mural habla del placer de la comida, la relación divertida que tenemos con ella, el
amor por los productos frescos, siempre con una ilustración basada en el humor, y
contando el espacio tan importante que ocupa en nuestra vida. Comer son
sensaciones, aromas, risas, vino, y una explosión de sabores que nos llevan
inevitablemente a la sonrisa. Sonrisa que espero que provoque este mural en el
espectador, en el que le puesto devoción, casi tanto, como la que siento al comer algo
grandioso.

JULIETA XLF

El murmullo del mar cobra vida en un mural que fusiona la magia del océano con el arte de Julieta, transportándonos a las profundidades donde la vida marina florece en su esplendor.

Inspirado en la rica fauna marina de la costa benidormense, el boceto cobra vida con una sinfonía de colores y formas. En su tela, una escena submarina se revela, como si una ventana se abriera hacia un mundo submarino encantado. Una salpa danza entre las medusas, mientras un delfín majestuoso irradia gracia y libertad. Entre las algas ondulantes de la posidonia, se esconden criaturas misteriosas, invitándonos a explorar los secretos del océano.

CARLOS CORREDERA

Mural titulado “Cielo, Tierra, Mar”. Tres personajes de la mitología: a la izquierda el
gran busto alado de “Urano» dios del cielo, mirando por un telescopio. A su derecha
“Gea» la diosa de la Tierra, con el globo terráqueo en su vientre, y cuyo pelo se
transforma en árbol símbolo de naturaleza. Bajo ellos, reposa en el mar el hijo de
ambos, el gran «Titán Oceáno” con su cola marina. Alrededor de ellos aparecen
planetas, estrellas, incluso peces voladores, acentuando el tono cósmico y fantástico
de la escena. En el ángulo derecho inferior vemos una pareja de humanos que, con su
menor escala, subrayan la grandeza de los dioses.

ANTONIO MAREST

Las creaciones artísticas de Antonyo Marest, incorporan elementos en forma de
hojas de manera sensual y dinámica se transforman en flores y palmeras que se
utilizan como columnas y capiteles se colocan sobre elementos que simbolizan la
fuerza, el equilibrio y el talento del virtuosismo. Una obra de arte con formatos y
soportes transgresores que gozan de reputación mundial en varios formatos
artísticos como el diseño de contenidos para grandes marcas que confían en el
incomparable estilo de Antonyo Marest. Una forma de entender el arte, la
arquitectura y el mundo en el que vivimos, plasmada en obras de arte que
transponen al público la armonía, la belleza y la reflexión.

ART IN THE BENIDORM STREETS

This project is made by Benidorm Expone and the other enterprises that have participated.  For the last two years, is been incentivized art in Benidorm’s street as pictures expositions. Now, the city bets for urban painting.

Six artists have been invited, abek, Misterpiro, Silvia Viana, Hunter87, Mireia Castillo y Kaufman. They have used unusual city spaces to show theirs arts pieces, and these were the results…

SABEK

Is an Artist who started his profesional career in abandoned places in Madrid. There he developed his style.

His unmistakable style is recognized for forms representation and its natural colors. All of these inspired by vegetables and organic round shapes. This representation is inspired by nature, it creates curve lines that makes a perfect balance.

His art expreses a reflection between humans and nature. It produces a respectful feeling to animals and vegetables. As well, his work can be appreciated in USA and New Zeland.

MISTERPIRO

This urban artist has started  his career in Plasencia, where he was born. Now days, he lives in Madrid, but his work eventually take him to others cities and  to another countries. Forbes Magazine included him in 2017 into 30 young Spanish people list with strong influence on various activities.

He has realized individual and collective expositions, and his street works can be find in various cities walls around  Spain, Also, in other countries like: Lisbon, Rome, London, New York, New Delhi and Seul. On the other hand, he has participated in Nordic Mist, Doctor Martens, El País S Moda and Converse campaigns.

Misterpiro has achieved got together two techniques, watercolor and acrylic, this as unique style, lively and so colorful. Hereby, he has built an unmistakable artistic identity.

SILVIA VIANA

Her arts pieces have a conceptual painting style. She has carried out a mural that was integrated with the environment, embellishing it at the same time. With a single objective, when the inhabitants and tourists pass through it, they interrupt their walk and manage to enjoy a small encounter with painting.

HUNTER87

Is an urban artist who grown up in Alicante province. His arts pieces are recognized for the traditional pictorial painting. This painting is part of ‘La Mar’ work. It is a memory record labour. He has interviewed some fisher men from his town Villajoyosa aimed to recover all pictures and histories from them.

The work is made from real photographs of the fishermen updated with the tattoos that can be seen on the mural. These refer to the old tradition of fishermen or sailors getting tattoos of events in their lives. And Hunter87, as a result of the information he has obtained from the interviews, has drawn tattoos according to all the events that have happened to the protagonists of this work.

MIREIA CASTILLO

She is another traditional artist. Her paintings are recognized by universe representation ‘pin-up’, and the women empowerment through their sensuality and femenity.

The painting she realized in Benidorm, is a mixture of her style and the location where she was painting. It is in front of April market, for that reason, she painted it with a shopping basket and oranges, giving lively and color to the street

KAUFMAN

James Aka, known as Kaufman is an artist from Benidorm. his paintings are recognized for his geometric style. Usually he paints abstract figures, but, in most of cases, geometric figures predomine. His favorite figure is triangle which is observable almost in all art pieces.

This particular mural is part of a series called Labyrinth, because it creates figures based on mathematical concepts. This mural is executed from a grid that is divided into diagonals both to the right and left, and a binary and random figures are combined. And this is the result.

ART AT THE CLIMIA BENIDORM PLAZA HOTEL

At the Climia Benidorm Plaza Hotel, art comes to life with an impressive collection of murals adorning both its interior and exterior. These vibrant murals, visible from various points of the hotel, capture the essence of Benidorm through diverse styles and themes. From female figures immersed in dreamlike waters to abstract and geometric compositions, festive culinary scenes, and children’s underwater adventures, each piece offers a unique visual experience that celebrates creativity and artistic diversity.

JOSE GALLEGO

In this mural painting, we find two female characters submerged in the sea, resting yet powerful, surrounded by fish in total harmony. Together, the women embrace and almost revere a newly risen sun, creating a mystical atmosphere.

We represent the precious sun and beach, while simultaneously conveying rest and disconnection, which is what so many people seek when they come to Benidorm and our hotel in particular. We have used fresh, vibrant, Mediterranean colours that stand out and yet harmonise with the space they occupy, the hotel lobby.

MARINA PUCHE

This mural speaks of the pleasure of food, the fun relationship we have with it, and the love for fresh products, all illustrated with humour. It highlights the significant space food occupies in our lives. Eating involves sensations, aromas, laughter, wine, and an explosion of flavours that inevitably lead to a smile. I hope this mural provokes a smile in the viewer, reflecting the devotion I have put into it, almost as much as the one I feel when eating something magnificent.

JULIETA XLF

The murmur of the sea comes to life in a mural that fuses the magic of the ocean with the art of Julieta, transporting us to the depths where marine life flourishes in its splendour. Inspired by the rich marine fauna of the Benidorm coast, the sketch comes alive with a symphony of colours and shapes. On its canvas, an underwater scene unfolds as if a window opens onto an enchanted underwater world. A salpa dances among jellyfish, while a majestic dolphin radiates grace and freedom. Among the undulating posidonia algae, mysterious creatures hide, inviting us to explore the secrets of the ocean.

But beyond reality, a brushstroke of surrealism adds a touch of fantasy to the mural. Fantastic characters emerge from the depths, guiding us to a realm of wonders where the impossible comes to life. Here, a fearless girl, enveloped in the mystery of the waters, begins her underwater adventure, discovering the hidden beauty that lies beneath the surface.

CARLOS CORREDERA

Mural titled «Sky, Earth, Sea.» Three characters from mythology: on the left, the great winged bust of «Uranus,» the god of the sky, looking through a telescope. To his right is «Gaia,» the goddess of the Earth, with the globe in her womb, and her hair transforming into a tree symbolising nature. Beneath them, their son, the great «Titan Oceanus,» rests in the sea with his marine tail. Surrounding them are planets, stars, and even flying fish, accentuating the cosmic and fantastical tone of the scene. In the bottom right corner, a human couple appears, their smaller scale highlighting the grandeur of the gods.

ANTONIO MAREST

The artistic creations of Antonyo Marest incorporate elements in the form of leaves that sensually and dynamically transform into flowers and palm trees. These are used as columns and capitals, placed upon elements that symbolise strength, balance, and the talent of virtuosity.
