Se aproximan días de celebración, devoción y mucha emoción.

Benidorm’s Patron Saint Festivals (8th to 13th November)
With the arrival of November comes one of the most anticipated periods of the whole year for the residents of Benidorm. It is the second week of the month. The town spruces itself up to commemorate its biggest festivals by honouring its patron saints: La Virgen del Sufragio and San Jaime Apóstle. There will follow days of celebration, devotion and faith.

The entrance of the local groups and associations heralds the arrival of six incredible days of festival. The Saturday begins with the ‘Virgen del Sufragio’ as the protagonist ( the Virgin of suffering), which is the most exciting day of the religious calendar. A spectacular blitz marks the beginning of the Grand patronal festivals.
Poniente Beach is transformed Saturday evening into the scene of the recreation of the the patron saint of Benidorm.

Guarded by her faithful, ´Sailors of the Mare de Deu raise and carry with devotion their virgin during the solemn procession of Sunday. The Queens of the festivals and their courts of honour accompany each step of the Virgin as they do in the procession of Monday, where the honours are dedicated to the Apostle, San Jaime (St. James).
