Benidorm se consolida como ciudad de festivales para fidelizar al público joven.

 Benidorm ha presentado en Fitur su liderazgo en la organización de eventos musicales entre los que destacan el Benidorm Low Festival y el Iberia. A estos grandes eventos se suman otros festivales de promoción privada como el Funtastic o el Ubangi Stomp, que si bien no son tan conocidos, mantienen una fidelidad entre un público algo más selectivo. En apenas cuatro años, Benidorm ha conseguido consolidarse como ciudad de festivales para afianzar el turismo más joven.

Las dos grandes novedades para ambos eventos corresponden al afianzamiento del Low Festival hasta 2020 y la prolongación a dos días del Iberia, de modo que los grupos participantes puedan ofrecer actuaciones de hora y media y no solo de 40 minutos.

Low Festival, ya ha dado a conocer sus primeras confirmaciones, el 25 al 27 de julio de 2014 la visita de bandas de prestigio internacional y nacional como la de los británicos Editors que aterrizarán en Benidorm con su nuevo trabajo bajo el brazo, ‘The Weight of your Lover’. La banda liderada por Tom Smith conquistará al los miles de lowers con su sonido post-punk y atmósfera ochentena en uno de los directos más esperados del año.

A ellos les acompañarán también los suecos The Hives con su sonido garaje rock, los galeses Los Campesinos!, las letras profundas de Iván Ferreiro, el rock psicodélico de Sidonie, Corizonas, Second, Niños Mutantes, Izal, Xoel López, Paus, León Benavente, Belako, The Free Fall Band, Tuya y Refree. De momento, este es el anticipo con el que se anuncia el Benidorm Low Festival, aunque el cartel irá completándose con otras sorpresas en los próximos meses.

Otra de las citas musicales que volverá a la ciudad de Benidorm será el Iberia Festival con su sabor a rock español.

BENIDORM ESTABLISHES ITSELF AS A MUSIC FESTIVAL TOWN TO BUILD LOYALTY AMONGST  YOUNG PEOPLE.

 Benidorm is a leader  in the organisation of music events amongst which the highlights are the Benidorm Low Festival, hashtag #low2014, and the Iberia Festival.

In addition to these great events there are also others organised by the private sector such as Funtastic or the Urbangi Stomp, although not as well known, also maintain a loyal following amongst a more selective public. In just 4 years Benidorm has managed to consolidate itself as a music festival town to attract and secure the young visitors.

The two pieces of latest news for both events relate to the consolidation of the Low Festival until 2020 and the extension to 2 days of the Iberia Festival. The latter is so that the participants can offer performances of one and a half hours and not only 40 minutes.

The Low Festival has already released its first dates, the 25th to 27th July 2014 for the visit of prestigious international and national bands like the British “Editors” who arrive in Benidorm with their new release, “ The Weight of Your Lover”. The band led by Tom Smith  will captivate the thousands present with it´s post-punk sound and 80´s atmosphere in one of the most awaited live events of the year.

They will be accompanied by the Swedish band “The Hives” with it´s Garage Rock Sound, the Welsh“Los Campesinos” the profound lyrics of Ivan Ferreiro, the psychedelic Rock band  Sidonie, Corizonas, Second, Niños Mutantes, Izal, Xoel López, Paus, León Benavente, Belako, The Free Fall Band, Tuya y Refree etc.

For the moment, this is the line up announced by the Benidorm Low Festival,  thought  the line up will be completed with more surprises in the coming months

 The other music event that will return to Benidorm will be the Iberia Festival of Spanish rock.
